About the Seminar
Many people think that gifted learners are not in need of cognitive enrichment because content mastery proves to be easy for them. This presentation will explain why mediated learning experiences have an important role to play in setting up gifted learners to be able to successfully utilize the full depth and breadth of their intelligence.
About the Lecturer
Greta Ehlers
As a gifted ADHDer who survived childhood medical trauma, raised 5 adopted children, taught disadvantaged students in rural Ethiopia in her early adult years, and assisted Dr. Jeanne Zehr in founding and running a Feuerstein based clinic in Fort Wayne, IN, Greta Ehlers offers a unique blend of insights within the scope of her work as a Senior Feuerstein Trainer. Greta is certified to train all levels of Standard and Basic IE, Digital IE, Tactile-Kinesthetic IE, the Feuerstein Thinking Memory Program, and has completed both LPAD and LPAD-B certifications. Greta is passionate about equipping others to become better learners and loves to continue strengthening her own abilities by seeking to master new skills on a regular basis. Greta’s recent endeavors have included learning to weave intricate Native American basket patterns, repairing an antique grandfather clock, and homeschooling her youngest son, who is a TBI survivor.
