About the Course
The objective of this course is to introduce educators, psychologists, clinical professionals, and parents to a multi-sensory approach (Touch-Motion-Sound) in Cognitive Enrichment Tactile programs and demonstrate the advantages of the kinesthetic and tactile modality of mediation in the treatment of ADD-ADHD.
Course Syllabus:
Multi-sensory approach (Touch-Motion-Sound) in the tactile programs;
Advantages of a kinesthetic and tactile modality of mediation;
Demonstration of tactile exploration as a tool for focusing, organizing, and ordering the explorative process in ADHD, ADD, and visually impaired learners;
Cognitive Enrichment Tactile as a new tool for articulating active explorative behavior in learners with motivational problems;
Symbolic representation as a tool for advancing mental imagery and conceptualization;
Cognitive and motivational aspects of learning processes in children and adults with ADHD, ADD, and visual problems;
Assessment of cognitive modifiability using tactile tasks;
Comprehensive instruction in the use of the following Tactile Instruments: “Fruits”, “Facial expressions”, “Orientation in Space”, “Comparisons”, “Analytic Perception”, “Illustrations”, “Transportation”, “Animals”.
Prerequisites
The course participants are expected to have previous training in the Feuerstein FIE program. Applicants are encouraged to read in advance the theoretical material available at:

Learning Materials
Course participants will receive a sample of Tactile tools and a copy of the Tactile User’s Guide. They should bring their copies of FIE Standard instruments: “Orientation in Space”, “Comparisons”, and “Analytic Perception”.
For their work after finishing the course, the participants should order a set of Tactile instruments from mleorders12@gmail.com
Certification
Course participants will be awarded a Certificate of Cognitive Enrichment Tactile Mediator upon successful completion of the entire course requirements. The certificate is valid for four years from its issue date and is renewed subject to the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) conditions: a. Submittal of a verification form of FIE implementation to Feuerstein Institute (available here) reflecting at least 30 hours of work with Tactile instruments; b. Participation in annual lectures using e-learning, including successful completion of a questionnaire about the material presented in the lectures, or participation in annual “live” CPD seminars organized by local Authorized Training Centers, or attendance of additional Feuerstein courses.
Course Trainer
Lorri Wilke
Lorri Wilke is an experienced educational therapist with over 35 years in the field of education. She holds a Ph.D. in Reading, Language, and Literacy and has earned multiple certifications that reflect her expertise in specialized learning strategies. As a trainer in the Feuerstein Method, an instructor for NILD, and a certified Structured Literacy/Dyslexia Specialist, Lorri focuses on supporting students with learning challenges such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, ADHD, and other cognitive difficulties. Her work is centered around empowering students to develop essential skills and habits that foster literacy, academic success, and lifelong learning. Lorri's approach is customized to meet each student's unique needs, ensuring that they unlock their full potential and experience meaningful progress. With a strong passion for teaching educators, she is committed to equipping teachers and mediators with the tools and knowledge necessary to make a lasting impact in the classroom and beyond.
